TYPE OF USE
High performance 100% Synthetic Fuel Economy Engine Oil exclusively designed for GM engines requiring a lubricant approved dexos1TM GEN3 by GENERAL MOTORS. Universal engine oil for most GM gasoline engines allowing at the same time outstanding lubrication and significant Fuel Economy performance. Also suitable for any gasoline engine calling for an API SP or ILSAC GF-6A lubricant in 0W-20 viscosity grade.
Compatible with any type of gasoline fuels : gasoline, bio ethanol, LPG, CNG and biofuels. May be unsuitable for use in some engines. Before use, always check the owner manual or handbook

Recent GM gasoline engines compliant with latest emission regulations are fitted with very sensitive exhaust gas after treatment systems. Indeed, Sulfur and Phosphorus inhibit catalytic converters (CAT) operation leading to inefficient exhaust gas treatment; and Sulfated Ashes clog Particulate Filters (PF) leading to quick oil aging, higher fuel consumption and engine power loss. For its dexos2TM GEN3 norm, GM requires the oil to able to endure the most severe thermal constrains along with modern after treatment systems compatibility. Compare to the former GM-LL-A-025, GM dexos1TM and GM dexos1 GEN2 standards, this induced for the MOTUL SPECIFIC dexos1TM GEN3 0W-20 engine oil to be "Mid-SAPS" formulated, with reduced contents of Sulfated Ash, Phosphorus and Sulfur, for longer preservation of after treatment systems such as CATs and PFs and higher engine protection. GM has developed its dexos1TM GEN3 standard in order for these oils to provide a high thermal stability and insure an outstanding resistance at high temperatures thus avoiding black sludge and viscosity increase due to soot. By limiting combustion residues, dexos1TM GEN3 specification helps to prevent from piston ring stiking and to protect the turbocharger during the whole drain interval duration. GM dexos1TM GEN3 standard is suitable for most GM Gasoline engines from Model Year 2022. Also, dexos1TM GEN3 fully supersedes and replaces the previous GM specifications: GM dexos1TM GEN2, GM dexos1TM and GM-LL-A-025 (Gasoline).
MOTUL SPECIFIC dexos2TM GEN3 0W-20 meets all these highly demanding requirements of performance and durability set by GM, including in particular for dexos2TM GEN3 standard, the full compatibility to biofuels use such as LPG
(Liquefied Petroleum Gas), CNG (Compressed Natural Gas), biodiesel (as available at the station) and bioethanol, when using bio ethanol at a mix ratio of up to 85% (Bioethanol – E85). Viscosity grade SAE 0W-20 minimizes lubricant hydrodynamic friction, allows fuel economy benefits especially when the oil is cold. Improves oil flow at start up, faster oil pressure build-up, faster rev raisings and reach operating temperature faster. Environment friendly, this type of oil allows fuel consumption reduction and therefore minimizes greenhouse gases (CO2) emissions.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Drain interval : refer to manufacturers’ recommendations and tune to your own use.
Can be mixed with synthetic or mineral oils. Before use always refer to the owner manual of the vehicle.
